The Bible Doctrine Hour. Episode 9.

God's system of learning doctrine through the theology of the 3 R's.

1JO 1:9 If we acknowledge our sins, He is faithful and righteous, with the result that He forgives us our sins and purifies us from all unrighteousness.

HEB 5:11 concerning him [TLJC] we have much to say [the doctrine of the high-priesthood of Christ and the universal priesthood of the believer] and it is hard to explain [difficult to teach] because you have become dull of hearing.

HEB 5:12 for though by this time you ought to be teachers, [or teaching other people] but you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

HEB 5:13 for everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.

HEB 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Point 3. Reception, retention, and recall as it relates to positive volition toward doctrine.

From doctrine retained and from doctrine recalled when you need it.

Recall is also a means of growth, because when you pass a spiritual test through recall of doctrine, that gives you accelerated growth.

(1) Reception - a believer with positive volition toward doctrine considers reception of doctrine very important.

(A) Finding the right pastor, i.e., someone who is faithful in the verse-by-verse teaching of Bible doctrine under the principle of line upon line, precept upon precept.

1. Isagogics, which is the interpretation of the Bible within the framework of its historical setting.

2. Categorical communication of doctrine, which fulfills the hermeneutical principle of comparing Scripture to Scripture to determine the classification of doctrine.

3. Exegetical communication of doctrine, which is the analysis of each verse in its context to determine the exact meaning of that verse in its relationship to the context as a whole, analyzing grammar, syntax, and etymology.

(B) Consistent if not daily exposure to Bible teaching.

(C) Reception includes positive volition toward doctrine which means doctrine has #1 priority in your life, and nothing takes precedence over it, including Christian service.

(D) Reception includes concentration and the avoidance of distractions, whether they are from your own soul or from others.

Distractions include ignorance of or failure to use the problem-solving devices.

(E) Reception includes living in the PPOG, where the Holy Spirit teaches Bible doctrine as it is communicated by your right pastor.

1PE 5:3 teaches that there are certain believers who are allotted or assigned to a certain pastor.

(2) Retention is the spiritual function of converting gnosis or academic doctrine in the left lobe into epignosis or metabolized doctrine in the right lobe.

Only metabolized doctrine provides spiritual growth and momentum; it is the only way to execute Gods plan, will, and purpose for your life.

(3) Recall is the application of metabolized doctrine to the various and diverse experiences of life.

Consistent positive volition toward doctrine results in the attainment of spiritual growth and the experience of having a personal sense of destiny.

The craving and yearning for the Lord and for his Word will drive you to Bible class and cause you to overcome the distractions of life.

Bringing together spiritual truth to a spiritual apparatus

Your real spiritual status quo is known only by you and the Lord; you are not subject to investigation by other believers; that is a part of the privacy of the priesthood.

Who made you a fruit inspector? Satan!

1CO 2:16 for who has known the mind or the thinking of the Lord that he should instruct him? But we have the mind or the thinking of Christ [Bible doctrine].

2TI 2:4 - they have entangled themselves in the affairs of everyday life and therefore they are no longer a soldier in active service for the Lord but have gone AWOL!

LUK 8:14 These are the ones who have heard doctrine, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

1CO 7:23 You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.

a. The law of volitional responsibility. b. Divine discipline. c. Momentum suffering. d. Suffering for blessing.

Momentum suffering or testing is given to the believer to produce a spiritual motivation to persevere in spite of the personal pressure they may be under!

a. To provide the believer with the opportunity to apply the divine power he has learned, which is the power of the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine.

b. Momentum suffering is also designed to accelerate the believers momentum and spiritual drive.

How the believer handles these major disasters determines whether he accelerates his spiritual growth or retreats and goes backward.

(1) In personal love or admiration. (2) In personal hatred or animosity.

The solution to people testing is found in the combination of personal love for God and impersonal love for all mankind.

You do NOT have personal love for God the Father unless you have impersonal love for all mankind!

ACT 9:4 and he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?

ACT 9:5 And he said, Who art Thou, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,

MAT 25:40 I tell you the truth, whatever you did to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did to Me

1JO 4:20 If someone says, I love God, and hates his fellow believer, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his fellow believer whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

People can only become a distraction to the fulfillment of Gods plan for your life when human relationships become more important to you than Bible doctrine.

MAR 12:29 Jesus answered, The foremost is, Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; (EXO 20:3 You shall have no other gods before Me.)

Our Lord is actually going to do something to separate those who are serious students of the Word of God from those who want all the nonsense that religion offers!

A church is to take you away from the realm of society and separate you for a short period of time to learn doctrine!

If you are ever going to advance to maturity you must learn to separate from the majority of people and their evil influences!

It is not being around TLJC that matters or being around His people; it is following His commands when He gives them that really matters!

Answer: You give a command that will separate those who are serious students of the Word of God from those who want all the nonsense!
