The second Person of the Trinity, the Son of God, without any surrender of His Divine essence or attributes added to His deity what He did not possess before, namely an impeccable human nature, thus making Him, the unique Person of human history.
In order to comply with the Father’s plan to provide salvation for all members of the human race, the Lord took on Himself the form of man and voluntarily restricted the independent use or expression of his Divine attributes.
In order to qualify as our substitute the Lord had to live a perfect life and go to the cross without spot or blemish.
Kenosis was also the means by which the Lord demonstrated a new kind of spiritual life - the spiritual life of the Church Age.
No matter what it may cost us personally or professionally, are we willing to relinquish it in order to fulfill the Father’s plan and purpose, and to live in obedience to the Word of God?
1] He Thinks of Others, Not Himself.
2] He Serves.
3] He Sacrifices.
4] He Glorifies God.
We are to love one another, edify one another,
be devoted to one another and
bear each other's burdens.
MAT 20:28 - "The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many".
HEB 12:1-2 - Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
To bow before Him now means salvation.
To bow before Him at the Great White Throne Judgment means condemnation.
At the First Advent, Jesus Christ became both undiminished deity and true humanity in one person.
Through His own free-will decision and in compliance with the Father’s plan for the incarnation, Christ took upon Himself true humanity.
The Lord Jesus Christ did not surrender His divine attributes or empty His deity. He refused to function in His deity apart from God the Father’s permission.
The Lord voluntarily operated within the limitations of His humanity. To execute the Father’s plan for the First Advent, the humanity of Christ relied on the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine in His soul.
Our salvation was so important to God that He made His divine power and attributes subservient to the mission of securing our salvation. This makes him the celebrity hero of the universe.
