The Parables - Teaching Tool of Our Lord - Part 8

1JO 1:9 If we acknowledge our sins, He is faithful and righteous, with the result that He forgives us our sins and purifies us from all unrighteousness.

 MAT 13:25 But while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.

MAT 13:26 But when the wheat sprang up and bore grain, then the tares became evident also.

This parable points to a time when TLJC is not here on earth.

MAT 13:24-27 the parable tells us the seeds have been sowed, the ground-work completed, the wheat already has sprung up.

MAT 13:25-28 an enemy clearly has attacked the work of the Sower TLJC.

MAT 13:41 The Son of Man will send forth His angels and gather out of His Kingdom all stumbling blocks and lawlessness.

During the Tribulation Period, the Tares will be the most powerful religious group on the earth...pitted against Christians.

1TH 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.

1CO 15:50-53, JOH 14:1-4, 1TH 5:1-10, MAR 13, REV 12:5-6,

DAN 12:1, MAT 24:22, ZEC 13

This term 'caught up' in 1TH 4:17 is from the Greek verb HARPAZO.

Used to describe the Spirit removing Philip near Gaza in ACT 8:39 & when Paul was caught up in Paradise 2CO 12:2-3.

The Tribulation Period will be the full bloom so to speak of Satan's cosmic system.

So this parable is fitting for the time we live in right now, but its highlighting the end of the Tribulation Period.

In GEN 11:7-8 God says, let US (Trinity) go down to earth and scatter them across the world...

GEN 11:4 They said, Come let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top
will reach heaven.

Currently what Satan is attacking is 3 areas of mankind... Western Culture, Christian Theology,
traditional morals.

GEN 19:24 Then the Lord rained on Sodom & Gomorrah brimstone & fire.

The damage to these 3 areas of man-kind has set the table for a cosmic religion to come to the forefront.

J. Stalin's 7 points to destroy U.S.A.

1) Discredit Christianity (philosophy, cults, or mysticism).

2) Destroy the institution of marriage.

3) In the realm of culture-art cultivate the ugly, futuristic & unlawful.

4) Create unrest among the working classes (class warfare).

5) Advocate State-Gov ownership of property & business.

6) Remove the need for US gold and move toward foreign currency.

7) Undermine patriotic thinking & develop an international thought
process within the culture.

The sleeping does imply ignorance toward BD...but more important it hints to the craftiness of Satan.

Couch potato Christians...they cause all the rest of the church to pick-up their slack physically & financially.

GEN 3:1 The serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field.

The point is Satan's cosmic system is constructed to perform best under the darkness of deception & ignorance.

TLJC is not ready to gather up the good wheat & sort it all out on that threshing floor just yet.

Satan slips in during our periods of weakness or laziness, to plant seeds that entangle our spiritual walk.

We will see the barn (v 30) is pointing to the Millennial Reign of Christ.

2CO 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.

Satan is a sower as well...he develops a crop just like the TLJC.
