So, evangelism continued for 120 years in the antediluvian civilization before the flood came and destroyed the earth after the last opportunity for the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, in common and efficacious grace, was extended. The grace policy of God never executes judgment on mankind until every grace opportunity has been given to believe. From the time of the angelic infiltration and the genetic attack on true humanity, to the flood, there were 120 years of gospel preaching. In 120 years, half-human, half-demonic people would corrupt the entire human race. By the grace of God, the true humanity of Christ would be born as a descendant of Shem, one of the eight survivors of the flood. Jesus Christ controls history and it was necessary to wipe out the evil, but first, evil had to have an opportunity to repent. The trouble with many Christians is that they do not know that the most powerful weapon, the most enduring weapon in human history is the Gospel. The power of God unto salvation is the Gospel, and not a pleasing personality, not a dog and pony show, not a church filled with gimmicks and games. ROM 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” 1CO 1:18 For the word [or the doctrine concerning] the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. We need to communicate the Gospel to evil people, they have a right to hear truth so that they can accept it or reject it. As 1PE 3:11 says, And let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. Our responsibility is to make the Gospel clear even to those influenced by evil. Our responsibility is to make the issue clear, and not to try and force people to make a decision for Christ.
