For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. (ROM 5:6) For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; (2CO 5:14) Namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (2CO 5:19) Who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. (1TI 2:6) For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. (1TI 4:10) For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. (TIT 2:11) But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. (HEB 2:9) And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. (1JO 2:2) These verses leave no doubt that what Christ did on the Cross, He did for all. Since all sins have been judged, they cannot be mentioned at the last judgment; even the unbelievers’ sins will not be brought to light. Instead, the unbeliever is condemned because he did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, not because of his sins: "And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (REV 20:12-15)
