All the positions and possessions of the believer are his on the sole ground of his place in Christ through the Baptism of the Spirit.
1] Make the believer question his position and standing in Christ. 2] Obscure the gospel of grace. 3] Cause disunity in the Body of Christ. 4] Make the believer doubt his eternal security. 5] Hinder the believer’s walk and life by any means possible.
The placing of a person or thing into a new union with something else so as to alter its condition and relationship to its previous environment or condition. It refers to the act of God introducing a believing sinner into vital union with Jesus Christ, in order that that believer might have the Divine nature implanted through his identification with Christ.
If you are saved, you have already received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. To lack the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is to lack salvation.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is for every believer. It is not just available to a select few.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a Sovereign act of God. He does it, and man has no say in the matter.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the basis of the believer’s life and walk, his standing and state, his positions and possessions in Christ.
The question is not how good we have to be for God to accept us, but how good should we be now that God has accepted us.
