The Fruit of the Spirit manifested by the Salvation Ministry of God the Holy Spirit at the moment of Salvation. Part 3.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.

God demonstrated His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, His enemies, Christ died as a substitute for us.

This is sharing the happiness of God.
It goes beyond mere human happiness.
It is a happiness not based on circumstances.

This is not world peace, the absence of conflict.
This is peace in the soul - tranquility and inner harmony.

Patience relates to endurance;
Hanging in there thru difficult circumstances.

Kindness is graciousness towards people.
It is dealing with people not on the basis of what they deserve but on the basis of God’s character.

“Goodness” has to do with a generosity of spirit; the application of doctrine. Doing something which is beneficial for someone else because of grace.

As the believer grows by learning the Word of God, the Holy Spirit strengthens and intensifies faith.

Gentleness describes humility in action.
We know who we are and we know where we stand in the plan of God and we live accordingly.

Self-control means self-mastery or self-restraint under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Positive Volition +
Filling of the Holy Spirit + Perception & Metabolization of Doctrine = Doctrine Resident in the Soul.

Doctrine Resident in the Soul + Positive Volition + the Filling of the Holy Spirit = Application of Doctrine.

Application of Doctrine under the Filling of the Holy Spirit = the Fruit of the Holy Spirit or the production of Divine Good.

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit Producing Divine Good = the Glorification of God.

To live a life under the filling of the Holy Spirit is what The Lord meant when he challenged us to take up our cross and follow Him.
