Kindness is Love in Action. Part 2. Deacon Tom Cotroneo.

Kindness in the Greek is chrestotes.
It is a gracious attitude;
the quality of being helpful and beneficial.

Tyndale Bible Dictionary Kindness - that state of being that includes the attributes of affection, sympathy, patience, friendliness, pleasantness, gentleness, and goodness.

Kindness is opposed to a harsh, crooked temper. It is mildness of temper, calmness of spirit, and a disposition to treat all with courtesy and politeness.

He manifests Himself to us according to His nature – gracious, merciful and full of lovingkindness.

The yoke of Satan.
The yoke of self-righteousness.
The yoke of legalism.

"The yoke I will give you; the load I will put on you; what I command is good for you. It is not a burden to bear."

The love of God that is manifested in Christ and shed abroad by the Spirit in our hearts works itself out as kindness toward others.

Kindness is required in the exercise of authority.
The true grace of power and authority is gentleness.

Kindness is required when you give warnings and administer reproofs.
Kindness is necessary in the treatment of strangers.
Kindness is necessary to preserve the bonds of friendships.

Nothing more directly tends to impair kindness than eagerly grasping at the things of the world.
